Introduction:
The Harmony4K 2010 Summer Tour represents a unique platform for bringing youth homelessness issues and social responsibility into the awareness of the masses by spreading our simple yet powerful message nationwide, advocating for those who can’t speak up for themselves, Harmonizing4Peace at every show, encouraging youth volunteerism and promoting music and the arts as a means for transforming lives.
The H4K 2010 Summer Tour is a Nationwide tour starting on July 4, 2010 in Montauk, NY stopping at universities, high schools, music festivals, fairs, and venues every week to present a series of exciting events to raise awareness and create harmony and peace. We are creating community participation by having the participants of every show Harmonize4Peace together to emphasize that we are all in it together. We must reach out and help each other, especially in these difficult times. Events include: filming a documentary entitled “How To Save The World”, one or more professional speakers, featuring local bands, motivational speakers, and cultural performances, aligning socially conscious organizations.
· Building upon the success of our previous Peace Concerts held since 2007, the first taking place on September 21st 2007 in Union Square Park NYC (see www.harmony4kidz.org for details), the H4K 2010 Summer Tour is gaining national recognition.
Who and What is Harmony4kidz 2010 Summer Tour?
The Harmony4kidz 2010 Summer Tour will stop at very specific locations throughout the United States, where key people are already aware of Harmony4kidz and are promoting the Harmony4kidz shows locally. Local Radio stations are being contacted, press releases are being sent out and the word of mouth campaign has begun on May 21, 2010, when the founder announced the tour at The 10th Annual Global Conference for Transformation in San Francisco, California, receiving a widespread support from attendees of the Conference. The idea for harmonizing4peace emerged from several conversations with the attendees at CTG. A presentation is being prepared for the next year’s conference to allow everyone
at the 2010 CGT to Harmonize4Peace.
The founder, Irena Hart, a singer/songwriter who plays all original music with her group, Heart Strings, is scheduled to begin the tour on July 4th, 2010. The East Coast portion of the tour will travel from Montreal to New Orleans. In August, the Midwest/West Coast portion of the tour begins in Jackson, Wyoming and ends in Los Angeles. The tour will be documented on film. There will be an interview process conducted through out the tour where people who attend the Harmony4kidz concerts and everyone along the way will be asked a question “How would you Save The World?” - inviting everyone to get involved in the Harmony4Kidz movement.
For Every $500 donated Harmony4kidz can send a homeless child to a summer camp for a week
Every Child Is Sacred
About the Founder and how Harmony4Kidz came into existence
Irena Hart is the new “present” of music… an artist with talent, purpose, and a mission. Her music, which combines Dance, Pop as well as World genre with positive and uplifting messages, is her vehicle for helping homeless and at risk youths in the United States be heard, valued and respected offering them a unique opportunity to create the lives that they love.
Homeless but not hopeless is what Irena saw when she met over 100 homeless youths in New York City back in 2006 while she was working on a concert in Central Park. The young people inspired Irena to create Hamrony4kidz, an innovative children’s charity that focuses on the root cause of youth homelessness. We are all connected and if one of us is suffering then it is everyone’s responsibility to take action. We can all contribute and be a part of the solution. Harmony4kidz is demonstrating that this is a benefit to our society and not a burden. No one gets left out, “every child is sacred”. That’s Harmony4kidz motto!
· Harmony4kidz is not another ineffective “band aid” or a quick fix. It aims at causing a system shift in the core areas that have kept the kids on the streets and invisible.
Harmony4kidz’ coaches are able to empower the young people we work with to use their many talents to benefit, not only themselves, but our communities and our planet. Harmony4kidz has developed fun and creative ways of educating the young people we work with about our environment and how we can decrease our carbon footprint. For example, refurbishing old instruments, and creating new musical instruments and art out of things people throw away.
American innovation is one of Harmony4kidz’s main principals. We do not encourage consumerism, or additional “stuff” production.
· Harmony stands for music, peace and interconnectedness or “oneness” of all.
Harmony4kidz is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the homeless and at risk youth in the United States through music and the arts, and in doing so transforming our families, our communities and ultimately our planet.
Harmony in the world for future generations means we need to think holistically. We encourage volunteerism and community service in high schools and colleges – uniting people from all walks of life through music and the arts. Positive lyrics and music have far-reaching benefits. Music unites, music heals, music transforms.
Harmony4kidz in Action:
In 2010, Harmony4kidz has started its art and music camp scholarship program in the tri-state area offering camp scholarships to select homeless and at risk youths. This is a major milestone for us as a new organization.
By 2012, with adequate funding, Harmony4kidz will be developing summer camps themselves. Our camps will make a major impact on the homelessness situation in the United States and our coaches will nurture the kids, year round to make sure they have a support system in place to continue their growth and development after the summer camp is over and they are back in the “real world” building their new lives with the tools they got, while being at Harmony4kidz camps.

The 1st goal of the Harmony4kidz 2010 Summer Tour is to raise awareness and to enable homeless youths to have the opportunity to transform their lives through music and the arts.
· Our goal is to raise awareness about the youth homelessness epidemic in the United States. For more information, go to www.harmony4kidz.org/blog
The 2nd goal of the tour is to assist homeless families in educating their children.
· Our goal is to raise money to send homeless children and youths to art and music summer camps and set up scholarships to art and music schools, colleges and universities.
The 3rd goal of the tour is to promote Harmonize4Peace and create community Participation.
· Music is powerful. Positive music has the power to create an upward spiral of strength and hope in anyone who is listens to it. People singing together in harmony with one another, with a positive intention in their hearts is a powerful tool to create a movement of peace, love and good will across our great nation. At the present, the moral is down, due to the state of our economy. At the same time, homelessness is on the rise and more prevalent than ever.
